There was great excitement on Saturday past when our talented school football team won the Cumann na mBunscol Primary Schools' Seven a-side Championship. They really were worthy winners. Having won all their games in the preliminary rounds they then came out winners in the semi-final against Killough Primary School.
There was a great 'build up' to Finals Day and our team certainly played a terrific game. Goals in the first half from Conor, Manus and Ryan (twice) saw our team take a commanding lead by half time. Conor, Manus and Ryan added more goals in the second half. We would like to congratulate Grange Primary School for a very gallant and sporting game.
The team and their friends were treated to a special reception in Flax at Turleys following the match.
